Each year we offer a Summer Camp. Check back next spring to see the 2012 program and schedule. In 2011, here is what was offered:
2011 Easley Foothills Playhouse Summer Theatre Camps

(ages 5-7)
(ages 8-teens)
Come and bring fairytales and great literature to life… only we’ll give them a slight twist of our own imagining!
Participants of this two week camp will explore the fundamentals of story-making and basic acting for-the-stage and improv techniques, costumes, props, stage make-up and stage combat! From the swashbuckling “Puss in Boots” to the romance of “Cinderella” and the comedy of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,” participants will find their “inner Shrek” as they act out timeless stories and make up some of their own in this fun class for beginners. The two week camp will conclude with a performance on the final Friday.
- Snack will be provided each day.
- JUNE 6-17: 9AM -NOON
- COST: $150, $125 second child, third child or children, grandchildren of season members
SO-FUN SHAKESPEARE (ages 8 through teens)
Interested in making Shakespeare fun? Well… it can be done! We will conquer Shakespeare’s most famous monologues, sonnets and poems; learn about the famous Globe Theatre; and perform what we have mastered at the end of the week. Come see how the Bard can be a blast!
- NOTE: Each camper should bring a “bag lunch” each day. Bottled water and small snack will be provided.
- JUNE 20-24: 9AM – 2PM

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT (ages 8 through teens)
Come join us as we not only learn catchy tunes, witty lines, cool choreography and create costumes and props, but also learn about the importance of honesty and self-esteem. There will be an end-of-camp performance for friends and family!

- JUNE 27-JULY1: 9AM-2PM
- COST:$150, $125 second, third child or children, grandchildren of season members
ADULT ACTING CLASSES (ages 18 and up)
Have you ever wanted to audition for a play and didn’t feel you had the skills? Does speaking in front of an audience terrify you? Then this is the class for you! Participants will be equipped with basic knowledge of stage acting as well as auditioning techniques, professional speaking “do’s and don’ts,” and fun with improvisation and dialogue techniques. It’s a hands-on, highly interactive way to gain confidence and broaden your horizons.
